South Africa’s cultural ambassadors, the five-time Grammy-winning a cappella choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo, are returning to North America with a major concert series. The Ladysmith Black Mambazo tour is an expansive headlining run with the celebrated group performing solo, often marking the 65th anniversary since Joseph Shabalala founded the ensemble.
The 2026 tour begins its main leg in the United States on February 17 in Taos, New Mexico, continuing through the western and eastern states, with a stop in Canada on March 8 in Victoria. This special journey will bring their unique isicathamiya style to cities including Tucson, Portland, Saint Louis, Albuquerque, and New York. Known worldwide for their collaboration on Paul Simon’s Graceland and promoting messages of peace, Ladysmith Black Mambazo continue their “Impossible Dream,” demonstrating the beauty and power of traditional Zulu harmonies.
